also, it's interesting how in the earliest one of you guys as kids you're all sitting down, then as teens you're crouched, and as men you're standing. rather metaphorical.

The first one is outside Aix-en-Provence somewhere, not sure where. It looks like Mont Ste-Victoire in the background.
I believe that's on top of St Victoire -- we climbed to the top of it for my 7th birthday.

We did climb Mont Ste-Victoire, but in this picture, we are not on it.

Notice the mountain range in the background is the same.
WMD is right. It is Ste Victoire, but at a lower altitude. I stayed there with Ruben, Geneviève and her youngest, while you guys and the dads went to the top.
Here's a picture on us the day we climbed Ste-Victoire with the Mewtons (see http://lh5.ggpht.com/_cmvqIw4oAxE/SrUxf2D4WhI/AAAAAAAAHNQ/kGh8VmUJzz0/st-victoire.jpg), but in this picture we are wearing different clothes. This was a different day, different location.
