This is an actual conduct report from the conservative Christian boarding school I went to in Ivory Coast, West Africa. A certain number of these would get you kicked out.
A collection of comments: -Do my eyes deceive me, or is the word "impolite" spelled incorrectly on the conduct report? The staff member who created this should get written up for "failure to study." -It's interesting that the "Africans" get listed separately from the staff--aren't they staff as well? -I like the category "refusing"; it is very broad. -Where are the "Improper boy/boy" and "Improper girl/girl" relations categories? -Why is there one category for "Disrespectful" and another for "Impolite," and why does God get replaced by Africans in the second category? -Is "Out of Bounds" a sports offense? -Some of these are laugh-out-loud hilarious. I especially like "bizarre behavior" and "out of touch." I wonder if these categories made sense to any staff members other than the one who wrote them. It makes me giggle to picture someone sitting there in front of a typewriter, trying to think of all the possible sins a student could commit.
I never understood the part where they gave you the option to agree or disagree. Why would you agree? A friend of mine once signed "disagree". He was issued another conduct report for "refusing".
Yeah that "refusing" catagory is very inclusive of whatever they want to get you for, I like that. I like the closing statement which basically claims that whatever offense they nailed you for shall follow you on this piece of paper and haunt you. I don't quite get why a reference would see it. I don't think many people would use someone as a reference if they issued them a conduct report. But I guess maybe some people felt extremely limited??......
This is not a surprise at all. Whoever made this report is not PERFECT, as the school was not perfect, as the teachers, staff, and students were far from being perfect! Being a mom, I also felt aggravated when injustice was done to one of my kids. But, hey! you can't find justice in an imperfect world. That's the bottom line.
I remember having to sign my first conduct report, though, I have been told that I had more than just the one administered to me. I wonder if they signed my name for me...
Anyway, the one time I did sign it, I disagreed with part of it and got a new one for refusing.
At my boarding school the dorm parents hung weekly progress reports on our doors so everyone could see if we were following their rules and would know our punishment.
Charity: That reminds me of "room check": They would grade you on how well you cleaned your room every morning. If you failed, you got punished. They would post the results on a board every morning.
Your "room check" sounds similar. Having clean rooms was part of our behavior progress reports (along with proper attitude, obedience, and all the rest). We were under constant observation. I'd compare life there to being in lockdown--we didn't leave the fenced in "property" except on rare occasions. Some families were dismissed from the field for having children who weren't compliant.

I actually think I have one of those somewhere too.. Oh, what great memories..
What is the prescribed follow up for "hurting others"? Is it a stoning/hanging/eye poking?

"Poor Housekeeper" haha
"Impotlite." That says it all.

This is really really funny. Bizarre behavior and loner. Boy, I would have gotten nailed by big time if I stayed there for high school.

This is priceless. Friends of mine can barely comprehend the 1984ness of this...
I still laugh at this.
I used to hang my negative conduct reports on my wall. What a worthless school.
You used to hang them on your wall? Hahaha!

Damned if you do... damned if you don't! Haha! How absurd...
